Since 2004, GBRW has been developing the Caribbean financial sector

The Caribbean financial sector is integral to the future social and economic development of the region.

The Caribbean faces a unique set of challenges in building scale and regional integration in banking and financial services, particularly due to geographical separation and cultural divergence. However, substantial improvements in economic governance raise major opportunities for existing and new market players. The region’s proximity to major economies in both north and south america also represent significant potential.

GBRW has consistently worked with governments, and local and international Development Finance Institutions to improve access to finance. A particular focus has been on building financial services infrastructure and start-up banks, as well as training and development for local bankers.
